On Friday 6/19 we hiked up Flat Top Mountain to the east of Anchorage in the Chugach Mountains. Our friends James and Mary were our guides since we had previously not been on the hike. The trailhead from which we left is also the trailhead for many other hikes, like Williwaw Lakes and Powerline Pass, popular hikes in their own right, which follow the valley below Flat Top, which you'll see below. It was quite a haul to top out over 3000 feet, but it was all worth it to see a panoramic view of Anchorage and Cook Inlet.
