Torched Truck & A Twilight Trek

Carrie and I had a full Saturday, eating lunch at the Snow Goose (http://www.alaskabeers.com), running to REI to outfit Elsa for dark walks, and visiting the local bookstore (wavebooks.com) to look for deals too good to pass up. Lunch was enjoyable sitting at a table with a direct view of the inlet, the port, and small, fixed wing air traffic heading out of Anchorage. After errands were completed, we quickly dressed to head for our usual haunt, University Lake Park. Along the way Carrie took pictures in various locales, as is evident below.

You know you had a good night when...a Jagermeister bottle is serving as your new hood ornament. This was just outside the Snow Goose in downtown Anchorage.

Shit happens, side view. This guy had to be one sorry SOB when he came to pay his parking the next morning.

The sun slowly setting over University Lake in the SW, approximately 5:30 pm

A beautiful shot of the moon rising over the Chugach. Dark that looks like this isn't that bad.

Portrait of Elsa, complete with new light attached to her collar to illuminate the way. Between a human headlamp and a dog collar lamp, nowhere is out of bounds, even after dark.
